Cuisine

Prepared by rolling thinly rolled dough sheets with walnuts, this dessert is the crown jewel of Bartın holiday tables. Taking its name from its turban-like curved appearance, the dessert gains a crispy texture when it fully absorbs the syrup. You can use the map field to reach the addresses of local sweet shops.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tea glass of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of crushed walnuts
  • 4 cups of flour
  • 3 cups of granulated sugar (for syrup)

Preparation

  1. Knead a dough of earlobe softness with egg, oil, and flour.
  2. Divide the dough into balls and roll them out into very thin sheets using starch.
  3. Sprinkle plenty of walnuts on the sheet, wrap it around a rolling pin, then wrinkle it and remove from the pin.
  4. Bake in the oven until golden brown, then pour the lukewarm syrup over it after taking it out of the oven.
