Ingredients

  • 2 bunches of fresh black cabbage leaves
  • 1.5 cups of Cilimli rice
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • Half a tea glass of olive oil
  • Salt, black pepper, mint

Preparation

  1. Wash the black cabbage leaves, boil them gently in hot water, and shock them in cold water.
  2. Finely chop the onions and sauté them in olive oil, then add tomato paste and washed rice.
  3. Add the spices and half a cup of hot water, cooking the filling until the rice absorbs the water.
  4. Remove the thick veins of the leaves, put some filling inside, and roll them tightly.
  5. Place the stuffed leaves in a pot, add water and a little olive oil, and cook over low heat until the leaves are tender.
