Ingredients

  • 1 kg diced beef or mutton
  • 300 g suet / internal fat
  • 1 tablespoon rock salt
  • Black pepper
  • Thyme

Preparation

  1. Chop the internal fat into small pieces, melt it in a pot, and strain the solids.
  2. Add the diced meat into the melted fat.
  3. Cook the meat over low heat until it releases and absorbs its water.
  4. Add rock salt and spices, stir, and allow it to cool and solidify.
