Waters
Kamil Abdus Lake is among the most sensitive natural areas in the Tuzla district. This wetland, a lagoon lake connected to the sea, was also used for salt production in the past. You can view its geographical position on the Map; it hosts rare bird species in the İstanbul region.
The reeds and marsh vegetation around the lake offer a sheltered environment for the breeding of aquatic life. Despite urbanization pressures, it remains a protected natural site.
