Cuisine

One of the most original examples of traditional Karabük cuisine, Peruhi is a favorite for pastry lovers. Its difference from classic manti is that it is filled with a mixture of strained yogurt and mint. You can discover the spots where you can taste this dish, served with melted butter on top, on the Map. This unique flavor is one of the lightest recipes in Türkiye culinary culture where yogurt meets dough.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of strained yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of dried mint
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt

Preparation

  1. Knead a firm manti dough with flour, egg, salt, and water, and let it rest.
  2. Mix the strained yogurt with dried mint and a small amount of salt until smooth.
  3. Roll out the dough into a large sheet and cut it into square pieces.
  4. Place some of the yogurt filling in the center of each square and close it into a triangle shape.
  5. Boil in salted boiling water, drain, and serve hot by pouring melted butter over it.
