Bazlama, generally consumed hot during breakfast, has been made using the same method for centuries in Karakeceli villages. Being the most delicious part of the bread culture in the Kırıkkale region, it is also known throughout Türkiye, but the flour quality here makes its taste different. Ingredients
- 5 cups of flour
- 1 pack of dry yeast
- 2 cups of warm water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
Preparation
- Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar and wait for the yeast to activate.
- Add flour and salt, knead a soft dough, and leave to ferment.
- Make dough balls from the fermented dough and roll them out thickly with a rolling pin.
- Cook both sides on a heated oil-free sheet iron or non-stick pan.
