Cuisine

Prepared without minced meat, goce meatball is one of the most authentic recipes of the Evciler region. It is obtained by boiling finely cracked wheat called goce and kneading it with spices. Garlic yogurt and hot melted butter with mint sauce poured over it give the meatball its main flavor.

You can experience this special meatball in local restaurants in the district. For location details, you can visit the Map section and discover this light taste of Türkiye culinary culture.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of goce (finely cracked wheat)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 bowl of strained yogurt

  2. Add flour, egg, and salt to the swollen wheat and knead well.
  3. Roll into small marble-sized balls, press slightly in the middle, and boil in boiling water.
  4. Drain the boiled meatballs and serve by pouring garlic yogurt and butter sauce over them.
