Suryaz herb, one of the natural riches offered by the geography of Sirnak, is an endemic flavor that grows wild and can only be collected in spring. The people of Sirnak boil this herb after collecting and cleaning it, and then consume it by roasting it with minced meat or onions. Compared to other herb dishes across Turkey, Suryaz has a more intense aroma and is both nutritious and completely natural.
Ingredients
- 1 kg suryaz herb
- 150 grams of minced meat
- 1 large onion
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Salt, red pepper flakes
Preparation
- Sort the suryaz herbs and wash them thoroughly several times with plenty of water.
- Finely chop the washed herbs, boil them in salted boiling water until soft, and drain the water.
- Melt the butter in a pan, add the chopped onions and minced meat and fry.
- Add the boiled and drained suryaz herbs to the pan and sauté together for a few minutes.
- Add salt and red pepper flakes and serve hot.
