This dish, which has the character of a traditional ritual, is one of the most respected treats offered to guests in Şırnak homes. The pilaf contains almonds, currants, peanuts, and shredded meat. Ingredients
- 2 cups of rice
- 500 grams of chicken or partridge meat
- 1 tea glass of almonds and pine nuts
- For the dough: 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of yogurt, flour, and salt
- Half a tea glass of currants
- Black pepper, allspice, and butter
Preparation
- Boil and shred the chicken meat, then semi-cook the rice in butter with almonds, peanuts, currants, and spices.
- Knead a dough with flour, egg, yogurt, and salt to an earlobe consistency and roll it out thinly.
- Grease the baking mold with butter and arrange the almonds, then line the mold with the rolled-out dough.
- Fill it with the prepared pilaf and meat, cover it with the overlapping dough, and bake until golden brown.
