Cuisine

Kivratma is a flavor unique to the Samsun region, which is made without pouring syrup and thus preserves its freshness for a long time. Plenty of hazelnuts, walnuts, and granulated sugar are sprinkled inside the hand-rolled thin dough sheets, and they are wrinkled with the help of a rolling pin. Ingredients

  • 3 sheets of ready or hand-rolled dough
  • 2 cups of ground hazelnuts or walnuts
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 150 g melted butter
  • 1 tea glass of vegetable oil

Preparation

  1. Mix ground hazelnuts or walnuts with granulated sugar to form the filling.
  2. Mix melted butter and vegetable oil and brush it onto the dough sheet.
  3. Sprinkle the sugary hazelnut filling you prepared evenly over the dough sheet.
  4. Roll the dough onto a rolling pin and wrinkle it from both ends towards the middle, remove from the rolling pin, slice, and bake until browned.
