Situated at the center of maritime culture, Mudanya is the seafood hub of Bursa province. Steamed fish, especially made from sea bass or gurnard, is well known by fish lovers across Türkiye.

Ingredients

  • 1 large Mudanya sea bass
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3 green peppers
  • 3 tablespoons of Mudanya olive oil
  • 2 bay leaves

Preparation

  1. Clean and wash the fish, and place the sliced onions on a baking tray.
  2. Place the fish on top of the onions.
  3. Slice the tomatoes and peppers, put them around and on top of the fish, and add bay leaves.
  4. Drizzle olive oil, salt, and half a tea glass of water over it, then bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
