Trilye Kebab is among the most preferred meat dishes in the restaurants on the coast of Mudanya. Although it resembles Bursa kebab, it differs in its meat marination process.

Ingredients

  • 500 g beef tenderloin or lamb
  • 2 local pita breads (tırnak pide)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 cups of tomato sauce
  • 1 cup of strained yogurt
  • Thyme, salt, black pepper

Preparation

  1. Cut the meat into thin strips and marinate in olive oil with thyme and black pepper.
  2. Dice the pita bread, lightly crisp it in butter, and place it on the serving plate.
  3. Sauté the marinated meat quickly over high heat.
  4. Pour hot tomato sauce over the pita bread, place the meat, add strained yogurt to the side, and serve with hot melted butter.
