Ingredients
- Medium-fat ground beef
- Onion (grated)
- Cumin, black pepper, salt
- Breadcrumbs or stale bread
- A little water (to knead the mixture)
- Onion salad with sumac and parsley (for serving)
Preparation
- Place the ground meat, grated onion, spices, and crumbled bread in a large bowl.
- Knead the meatball mixture for a long time, adding water little by little, until it reaches a gummy consistency.
- Break off walnut-sized pieces from the mixture and prepare flat meatballs.
- Fry both sides of the meatballs on a grill or in a lightly oiled pan.
- Serve by adding the cooked meatballs, sumac onion, and tomatoes between a half-loaf of bread.
