Especially preferred for breakfast, Feselli is one of the most significant treats offered to guests by the people of Göle. The melted butter spread between the dough layers gives this pastry its crispness and rich aroma. Ingredients

  • 5 cups of flour
  • 2 cups of warm water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 150 grams of melted butter (Göle butter)
  • 1 teaspoon of yeast

Preparation

  1. Flour, water, salt, and yeast are mixed to knead a soft dough and left to rest.
  2. The rested dough is divided into balls and rolled out thinly like a sheet.
  3. Melted local butter is spread generously over the rolled-out dough.
  4. The dough is rolled into a log, swirled around itself, flattened slightly, and cooked on a griddle.
