Overview
Balışeyh is a district of the Kırıkkale province, located in the Central Anatolia Region of Türkiye, standing out with its historical and geographical richness. The vast Balışeyh Plain, which forms the agricultural heart of the district lands, and the Kenanbeyoba Stream, one of the lifeblood of the region, determine the main geographical character of the area. In the district where daily life is shaped around traditional agricultural and animal husbandry activities, a deep-rooted culinary culture also maintains its presence. The northern and southern parts of the district are surrounded by rugged mountain ranges. Kırlangıç Mountain, rising in the north, and the Kırlangıç Mountain Oak Grove covering its slopes, are among the most important green areas of the region. History and Cultural Heritage
Balışeyh has a deep history with its historical structures dating back to the Seljuk period. One of the most important symbols of the district, the Ballı Baba Tomb and Mosque, and the nearby Ballı Baba Mosque, are of great importance for faith tourism. Another spiritual center in the region is known as the Koçubaba Tomb. Hosting traces of ancient settlements, the Kırlangıç Mound sheds light on the district's past archaeologically. Standing out among modern recreation areas, the Dinek Mountain Horse Safari and Nature Park offers visitors activities intertwined with nature. Other traditional delicacies that visitors should taste include Balışeyh Katmer and Balışeyh Sizgit, which is indispensable for winter months.
