Heritage
The Balli Baba Mosque is the oldest historical building in the Balışeyh district of the Kırıkkale province. Estimated to have been built by the Seljuks in the 12th century, the mosque attracts attention with its wooden columns and ceiling craftsmanship. It bears the characteristic features of Seljuk wooden-columned mosque architecture found across Türkiye. The tomb of Balli Baba, one of the important figures of the period, is also located around the structure.
