Being a historical fishing town, Tuzla has inherited a rich culinary culture focused on seafood. Sea bass is gently simmered with fresh vegetables and bay leaves.

The secret relies heavily on using daily caught fish from the sea adjacent to İstanbul.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Sea Bass
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 3 cloves of Garlic
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 3 tablespoons of Olive Oil

Preparation

  1. Clean, wash, and dry the sea bass thoroughly.
  2. Slice the onions and tomatoes into rings and layer them at the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Place the fish on top of the vegetables, adding garlic cloves and bay leaves.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt, cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes.
