Cuisine
An indispensable part of local barbecue culture, Rostbrätel is one of the most popular meat dishes in Thuringia. Pork neck steaks are marinated for at least 24 hours in a special mix of local beer, mustard, and sliced onions.
During grilling over charcoal, the meat is basted with beer to enhance its smokiness and flavor. To discover where to eat the best steaks in Thuringia, look at the local guide on our Map and enjoy this authentic staple of Deutschland.
