Cuisine

In the geography where the Bartin River meets the Black Sea, Amasra Salad is the indispensable companion of fish restaurants in the Merkez district. The secret of this salad lies in finely chopping the ingredients and arranging them layer by layer like a floral motif on the plate. It contains dozens of fresh ingredients such as lettuce, red cabbage, arugula, cress, green onions, radish, carrots, gherkins, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It is drizzled with custom-made extra virgin olive oil and apple cider vinegar dressing. You can find the best salad master spots using the Map.

Ingredients

  • 1 small lettuce and arugula
  • 1 carrot and red radish
  • 1/2 cup of finely shredded red cabbage
  • 4-5 gherkins and cherry tomatoes
  • Extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and salt

Preparation

  1. Wash all the greens in vinegar water, chop them very finely, and spread them on the bottom of the serving plate.
  2. Grate the carrot and radish into thin strips or cut them into shapes to create layers.
  3. Rub the red cabbage with salt to soften, then place it decoratively on a section of the plate.
  4. Decorate the top of the salad with pickles and tomatoes, and drizzle the olive oil and vinegar mixture just before serving.
