Ingredients

  • 1 kg medium-fat minced beef (preferably from the ribs)
  • 20 grams of rock salt
  • Nail pita (for serving)
  • Tomato and green pepper (for roasting)
  • Onion (sliced companion)

Preparation

  1. Knead the minced meat only with rock salt in a large bowl.
  2. Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours so that the bonds in the meat break.
  3. Take pieces slightly larger than walnuts from the rested meat and make flat and wide meatballs.
  4. Cook the meatballs on an oak charcoal grill, turning frequently.
  5. Serve hot on roasted peppers, tomatoes, and nail pita.
