About

It is a small wooded urban green texture protected today, left over from the vast Thrace forests of the past in Bahçelievler district. It bears traces of Istanbul flora.

Terrain, waters and landscape

Forest

This natural area, trapped among dense construction within the borders of the district, is home to centuries-old oak and plane trees. You can find this grove, which acts as lungs for the Bahçelievler urban ecology, in the Map tab.

The grove, located on the migration route of migratory birds, is part of nature conservation efforts throughout Istanbul.
