Ordu Toast has a very different preparation process compared to standard toasts. In this flavor created by the artisans of Ordu, a large and dense local bread is used. Instead of sliced sausage, a specially spiced sausage paste is spread onto the bread and pressed firmly. It is one of the most popular snacks enjoyed with tea in Ordu culture.
Ingredients
- Special Ordu toast bread
- Specially prepared sausage paste
- Kashar cheese (optional)
- Butter
- Salt
Preparation
- Slice the special toast bread horizontally in half.
- Spread the prepared sausage paste evenly on the inner surface of the bread.
- Preheat the toast press, close the bread, and press down firmly with high pressure.
- Once the sausage paste is cooked, add kashar cheese if desired, brush the outside with butter, and press until crispy.
