Hasanbey Hill and Plateau Areas

Hasanbey region, forming a flat plain in the upper parts of Mudanya center, is an erosional surface with semi-plateau geographical features. This elevation is a typical example of Bursa coastal morphology.

Hasanbey plain and hilly areas have a topography that rises abruptly from the Mudanya coastline and forms a slightly undulating plateau plain behind. Since the geological structure consists of calcareous formations, its water infiltration capacity is high. You can see its place on the map by clicking the Map button.

This plateau plain has been used as a settlement and agricultural area since the past. These high plains are of critical importance for understanding the geomorphological development of the Mudanya district in Bursa.
