This small canyon structure near Altintas village, located east of Mudanya, was formed by the erosion of calcareous blocks by a stream. It is one of the rare geomorphological canyon formations in Bursa.

Terrain

Altintas Canyon is a hidden natural formation within the borders of Mudanya with its deep gorges and steep slopes. Small spring waters flowing from the canyon floor move through steep rocky walls in the narrow valley. You can check the exact location of the canyon on the Map.

The moist base structure of the canyon hosts a rich fern and ivy flora, contrary to the surrounding dry maquis vegetation. This creates micro-ecosystem diversity in Mudanya countryside in Bursa network.
