Terrain, waters and landscape
Guvercintepe Hill is an erosional remnant hill located in a dominant position over the Başakşehir basin. Having a distinct height compared to the surrounding low plains, the hill geologically consists of clayey-sandy layers. The Sazlidere basin can be viewed panoramically from the hill. You can inspect the Harita field to verify geographic coordinates.
These types of hills, emerged from the fragmentation of plateau plains across Istanbul, are typical geomorphological characters of the region.
