Waters
Bahcesehir Pond is an important recreational water body located in the valley floor in western Başakşehir, fed by bottom springs and surface runoffs. Although its boundaries have been defined by artificial interventions, it qualifies as an ecological pool due to the natural water veins feeding it. The pond and its surroundings offer a habitat for local bird species. You can see its location on the map in the Harita section.
This water area is considered one of the most organized environmental pond projects on the European side of Istanbul.
