Salerno Eastern Plain

An alluvial plain flatland located on the eastern borders of Salerno city, suitable for agricultural and urban expansion.

Forming a transition toward the Sele River basin, this section of the plain is the flattest area of the otherwise mountainous Salerno geography. Nourished by alluvium carried by local watercourses, these lands have enabled fertile agricultural activities throughout history.
