Terrain, waters and landscape
The Fusandola Stream was a natural water barrier defining the western boundary of the Salerno city walls in ancient times. Although it is largely culverted underground today, it retains critical importance for urban morphology and flood control. The exposed parts of the stream and its mouth can be tracked using Harita. With its unique geographic layout, this stream is one of the hidden aquatic heritages of coastal cities in Italia.
