Maltepe Beşçeşmeler Square

Reflecting the old fishing village culture of Maltepe, Beşçeşmeler is a nostalgic urban site preserved with its historical fountain, plane trees, and old stone houses.

Beşçeşmeler Square takes its name from the historical five-tapped fountain in its center. It is one of the rare spots in the Anatolian side of Istanbul where neighborhood culture lives on. It is located near the center of Maltepe.

Traditional wooden and stone architectural examples are restored in the streets surrounding the square. Please refer to the Harita section to find its exact coordinates.
