Heritage
Hatuniye Medrese was built in 1382 by Sultan Nefise Sultan during the Karamanid period. The marble workmanship on the monumental portal of the structure is one of the most exquisite examples of Turkish architectural history.
The madrasah, which hosts cultural events today, is located in an easily accessible position within central Karaman.
