Heritage
Gümüşler Monastery is a magnificent religious center carved into tuff rocks, located approximately 10 kilometers from the center of Niğde. The most unique feature of the monastery is that it hosts the only 'Smiling Virgin Mary' fresco within Türkiye. Filled with rock churches, an underground city, and defensive rooms, this ancient site is one of the highlights of faith tourism.
