Mentioned by Dante in his Inferno, Fontebranda is an extraordinary hydraulic monument within Siena. Fed by a complex underground aqueduct system known as 'bottini', it provided water for citizens, tanners, and mills for centuries. It features three massive gothic brick arches covering a large water basin.
