Terrain

Faveta Valley Canyon was formed by the erosion of flash floods and volcanic tuffs. Small-scale agriculture is practiced on its slopes using the terracing method. To see the transportation lines and valley depth, the Harita can be examined.

The alluvium accumulated at the canyon bottom provides an example of the limited fertile soils on the island of Cabo Verde.
