Heritage

Built for Ismail Fakirullah by his student Ibrahim Hakki, this tomb is a concrete example of astronomical genius in Tillo. Thanks to a special mechanism in the tomb's tower, the first rays of the rising sun on March 21 and September 23 directly illuminate the master's cenotaph. This engineering marvel is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List and represents a significant heritage site in Siirt and across Türkiye.
