About

Commissioned by Pope Sixtus IV, this religious building is one of the most precious architectural heritage sites in the city of Savona.

Heritage

The only other Sistine Chapel in the world besides the one in Rome is located within Savona. Featuring magnificent Rococo decorations from the art history of Italia, this chapel was built in memory of the Della Rovere family. The structure is located right next to the cathedral complex.
