Heritage
Built on a mountainous ridge, Rui Vaz is one of the most prominent historic settlements within the São Domingos administrative boundaries. The stone houses and plantation structures resembling the old Portuguese settlement patterns in the Cabo Verde islands have been preserved to this day.
