Dwarf oak communities concentrated in the hilly areas north of Idil district and around Magara (Kiwex) village form the limited forest texture of the district.

Forest

These oak lands have a dry forest structure and show anthropogenic steppe characteristics, unlike the lush forests found elsewhere in Sirnak. This rare green cover of Idil flora is registered as sparse woodland on the vegetation layer of the Map.
