Kilis Forests

Oak and red pine communities located in the higher parts of Kilis constitute the forest presence of the province.

Although Kilis generally has a steppe climate, pine trees and groves planted on its high hills create small forest areas. You can see the geographical distribution of these green areas in the Harita section. Forested areas are expanded every year as part of afforestation campaigns across Türkiye.
