Estância Roque Picnic and Nature Area

Located in the interior of Santa Catarina do Fogo, Estância Roque is a mountainous recreation and picnic area surrounded by local flora.

Estância Roque offers a green resting spot in the characteristic semi-arid and rugged geography of the Cabo Verde islands. Organized by the Santa Catarina do Fogo municipality, this picnic area is one of the main centers preferred by locals for relaxation, especially on weekends.

Located on hiking routes, this recreational area is also suitable for observing endemic plant species in the interior of Fogo island.
