Heritage
Situated in the center of Cizre, Cizre Castle is one of the oldest defensive structures in the region. The castle, which survived to the present day with its walls and inner sections, is considered among the most important historical symbols of the Şırnak province.
Basalt stones were used in the construction of the castle, which was built at a strategic point to control river trade. Visitors can examine the location of the castle on the Map.
