Heritage

Built by the Urartian King Sarduri II between 764–735 BC, Çavuştepe Castle is situated on a ridge overlooking the Van plains. Consisting of a palace, temples, cisterns, and fortification walls, this site reveals the advanced Urartian engineering on Türkiye's soil.
