Story and significance

About

Located in the Catalagzi town of Kilimli district, it is one of the most important industrial architectural structures of the early republican period.

Heritage

Built in the 1940s, the plant was established to generate electricity using Zonguldak hard coal. Considered the heart of Kilimli industrial history, the structure reflects the architectural understanding of the period. Refer to the Map tab for geographic location.

Registered as an electrical energy production base during Türkiye's development steps, this old facility is accepted as one of the iconic monuments of mining and heavy industry heritage in the region.
