Heritage
Armutlu Castle is an ancient defense point located in the mountainous parts of Sumbas geography, making access quite challenging. The castle, which is among the registered cultural assets in the Osmaniye region, draws attention with its ashlar stonework architecture.
Ruins of water cisterns and storage rooms can be observed inside the castle. This area, which is an important center for understanding local defense networks in terms of archaeology in Türkiye, is under protection.
